Vapor Product Laws: Chapter 70.345 RCW Regulating Vapor Products HB 6328 regulates vapor products that will impact all tobacco retailers was passed by the Washington State Legislature during the 2016 Legislative Session and is effective June 28, 2016.Washington has eight statutory sexual abuse charges on the books which are used to prosecute age of consent and child abuse related crimes within the state.One or more of these charges may be used to prosecute violations of the Washington Age of Consent, as statutory rape or the Washington equivalent of that charge.The application form will be available on July 1, 2016.Thirty-one days later, August 1st, statutes relating to licenses, fees and penalties will go into effect. The new law accomplishes the following: *IMPORTANT NOTE: The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently adopted rules that prohibit tastings or samplings of vapor products containing nicotine at no cost. While tastings or sampling of vapor products containing nicotine at no cost are illegal after this date, tasting or samplings of vapor products that do not contain nicotine at no cost are permitted under certain restrictions in state law. The new law regulates all vapor products, whether or not they contain nicotine.
